This is a mountain running journey, not a road-running holiday. The experience combines long trail days, mountain climbs, changing terrain and high-altitude landscapes across the High Atlas.
The route includes a mixture of runnable trails, climbs, descents, mountain paths and sections where walking is the natural way to move through the terrain. The pace is adapted to the group and the mountain conditions.
Regular trail running and hiking experience will help you enjoy the expedition. You should be comfortable spending several hours outdoors and moving continuously through mountainous terrain.
The expedition gradually moves into higher terrain before reaching Mount Toubkal at 4,167 metres. The itinerary allows the journey to build progressively towards the summit stage.
Expect rocky trails, dirt paths, steep climbs, technical descents, village tracks and high mountain terrain. Conditions can change quickly, so the route may be adjusted when needed.
Trail running shoes, suitable mountain clothing, hydration equipment and warm layers are essential. A complete packing list will be provided before the expedition.
Weather, trail conditions and mountain safety can influence the itinerary. Our priority is to keep the experience safe while preserving the spirit of the expedition.

The High Atlas changes dramatically throughout the year. For this expedition, the best dates depend on the balance between comfortable trail-running conditions, altitude and mountain weather.
A beautiful period for mountain running, with greener valleys, comfortable temperatures and increasingly accessible high mountain trails.
Generally stable mountain conditions make this a strong period for the full expedition, with long days on the trails and access to the high passes and summit.
Cooler temperatures and shorter days bring a different character to the High Atlas. Snow and changing weather can affect the higher sections of the route.
Mountain Conditions
Weather, snow, trail conditions and safety can influence the final route. We assess the conditions before and during the expedition and may adapt individual stages when necessary.
