Imlil 1,740 m · Tacheddirt 2,300 m
Morning transfer from Marrakech to Imlil, approximately 1h30 by road. Meet your guide, muleteers and cook in Imlil before beginning the trek through apple orchards and walnut groves.
Climb towards Tizi n’Tamatert Pass (2,300 m) for panoramic views over the Imlil and Imnane valleys, then descend to the picturesque village of Tacheddirt, one of the highest permanent settlements in Morocco.
Overnight in a simple mountain guesthouse.

Tizi n’Likemt 3,550 m · Azib Likemt 2,500 m
A long and challenging ascent takes you towards Tizi n’Likemt Pass (3,550 m), one of the highest mountain passes in the Atlas.
From the pass, enjoy sweeping views across jagged peaks, remote valleys and the spectacular High Atlas landscape before descending towards Azib Likemt, where we set up camp.
An Azib is a traditional summer pasture shelter used by Amazigh shepherds when they move their flocks into the high mountains. These simple stone shelters offer a glimpse into the traditional pastoral life of the Atlas.

Tizi n’Ourai 3,120 m · Amsouzert 1,740 m
Follow a wild mountain valley before ascending towards Tizi n’Ourai (3,120 m).
From the pass, descend into the lush Aourai Valley, following streams and traditional shepherd trails through an increasingly green landscape.
Continue towards Amsouzert, one of the largest villages in this remote part of the High Atlas. Overnight in a local guesthouse.

Lake Ifni 2,300 m
Enjoy a short but scenic walk through terraced fields and small Amazigh hamlets as the route gradually approaches the remote mountain lake.
Arrive at Lake Ifni, a stunning turquoise alpine lake surrounded by towering peaks and dramatic mountain scenery.
The afternoon is free to swim during the summer months, relax beside the lake or explore the shoreline before spending the night camping in this spectacular mountain setting.

Tizi n’Ouanoums 3,670 m · Toubkal Refuge 3,207 m
This is the toughest day of the trek. Leave Lake Ifni and begin a steep ascent along a mule path towards Tizi n’Ouanoums (3,670 m), one of the most dramatic high passes in the Toubkal Massif.
After reaching the pass, descend along a long zigzag trail towards the Toubkal Refuge, the base camp for tomorrow's summit climb.

Mount Toubkal 4,167 m
Begin before sunrise, around 4–5 am, for the final ascent to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest mountain in North Africa.
After approximately 3–4 hours, reach the summit and enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views across the Atlas Mountains, with the Sahara stretching to the south and the Anti-Atlas visible towards the far horizon.
Descend to the refuge before continuing down to Imlil (1,740 m). A private transfer then takes you back to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon.
